CARF-accredited service providers that meet specific underwriting guidelines are considered lower risks, in part because they conform to CARF standards relating to risk management, health and safety, corporate compliance, and business practices.
The following companies have created specific premium discount programs available to qualified service providers:
- Aon Corporation offers programs to qualified aging services providers within the United States and Canada. It offers coverage in the areas of adult day service, aging service networks, assisted living, continuing care retirement community, and person-centered long-term care community (nursing homes). Discounted insurance lines include general, professional, and directors and officers liability insurance. - AIG Healthcare (a division of the Property and Casualty subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. [AIG]) offers discounted general and professional liability insurance to qualified medical rehabilitation, behavioral health, and opioid treatment providers in the United States and Canada. - Philadelphia Insurance Company offers programs to qualified employment and community services and child and youth services providers in the United States.
