Message from CARF CEO regarding coronavirus
CARF hopes that you and your families, and all health a human services providers and their staffs and persons served, are safe and well. The safety and well-being of all persons remains CARF's foremost priority.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CARF family of providers has demonstrated the adaptability and resilience necessary to continue delivery of quality health and human services. Based on feedback received, CARF understands that providers' commitment to CARF accreditation
and implementation of the CARF standards has helped position them to effectively support and protect their stakeholders and enhance the lives of persons served during the difficult conditions of the pandemic. CARF is proud to have played this supporting role in furtherance of its mission over the past many
months.
As COVID-19 remains a current public health emergency declared by the World Health Organization and governments of the United States, Canada, and other countries within the CARF footprint, CARF will continue to perform both digitally enabled
and traditional on-site surveys for the indefinite future. Following submission of each survey application, CARF will deliver information to the customer organization about the survey
format(s) for which it is eligible.
CARF continues to assess the evolving situation and adjust its activities based on guidance issued by appropriate authorities and input from CARF stakeholders.
While CARF acknowledges the profound impact of COVID-19 on lives lost and extends its sincerest condolences to all impacted, it also commends the CARF family of providers for its courageous work to promote continued quality services to the persons served.
Regards,
Brian J. Boon, Ph.D.
President/CEO
