DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies)
CARF accreditation for DMEPOS suppliers
CARF is proud to participate with the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its efforts to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries
have access to high quality DMEPOS and related services.
All DMEPOS suppliers participating in Medicare Part B must be accredited
by October 1, 2009. If you are not accredited by that date, CMS will
revoke your National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) number and Medicare billing
privileges.
Apply for accreditation online
The application for accreditation, called the Intent to Survey, can now be
completed and submitted online through CARF's secure and accessible web portal,
CustomerConnect.carf.org.
